The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has an exciting opportunity within our Workplace Culture and Development Division. We are hiring a Training and Development Facilitator to help complete our team. The Training and Development Facilitator position reports to the DEI & Development Manager in the Workplace Culture and Development (WCD) Division, offering key support to programs designed to grow and develop WA State Department of Natural Resources employees and enhance the agency wide culture. This position supports employees and programs throughout the agency by designing, developing, coordinating and delivering strategic training and development programs that meet the agencies needs and WCD initiatives.

This position is responsible for identifying and implementing best practices in employee development, course development and facilitation, engaging in and coordinating DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) initiatives, consulting with employees and leaders on training and organizational development concerns, assisting in training record keeping, and other projects in support of DNR’s WCD Division.

As a DNR’s Training and Development Facilitator, a typical week might include the following:

Designing and delivering training workshops virtually or in-person.
Facilitating workshops and discussions on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
Refining development opportunities to strengthen the delivery and receptivity of material.
Refining activities within the training and identifying improvement opportunities.
Gathering and analyzing feedback on the quality of trainings from participants.
Maintaining records of enrollment and completion.

This Position is Responsible For:

Facilitation of DNR Trainings and Workshops (Crucial Conversations, Safe & Respectful Workplace, DEI Discussion Series, DiSC Workplace Culture, etc.)
Strategic planning and evaluating for Employee Development Program
Development of DNR Instructor-led Trainings and Workshops
Development of DNR eLearning Courses
Coordination of DNR Facilitator Cohort
Culture, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Initiatives and Project Work
Learning Records Management Support
