500 Women Scientists is a non-profit group dedicated to making science open, inclusive, and accessible.

2020 Women’s Vote Centennial Initiative:

The Women’s Vote Centennial Initiative, a collaboration of women centered institutions, organizations, and scholars from across the US, works to ensure that the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment, and the 72-year fight to achieve it, are commemorated and celebrated throughout the United States.

African American Nature & Parks Experience engages communities of color out in nature. They hold various events that will encourage communities across the country to get out into our national, state, regional and local parks.

Center for Whole Communities exists to cultivate transformative leadership that weaves together and strengthens movements for justice and the environment.

EcoWomen:

Ecowomen inspires and empowers women to become leaders for the environmental community through educational and professional development opportunities.

Fund the People:

Fund the People seeks to maximize investment in the nonprofit workforce. They offer a free, interactive toolkit intended to help individuals make the case for the value of investing in nonprofit talent, and to support individuals in integrating “talent-investment” into their work.

Get Out And Trek (GOAT):

GOAT creates outdoor trips for LGBTQ adventurists and their friends that make escaping the ordinary and breaking free from the everyday easier.

Green Leadership Trust:

The Green Leadership Trust is a network of people of color and indigenous people who serve on environmental boards. They work to build the environmental movement’s power by diversifying its leadership through promotion of best practices and other resources and by driving the leadership pipeline.

HerChesapeake:

HerChesapeake works at the intersection of feminism and environmentalism to cultivate a network of women who elevate, amplify and empower each other in equitable pursuit of their collective success and a healthier Chesapeake Bay.

Latino Outdoors:

Latino Outdoors seeks to inspire, connect, and engage Latino communities in the outdoors and embrace cultura y familia as part of the outdoor narrative, ensuring history, heritage, and leadership are valued and represented.

Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences:

MANRRS promotes academic and professional advancement by empowering minorities in agriculture, natural resources, and related sciences.

National Environmental Professionals of Color (EPOC) Network:

The National Environmental Professionals of Color Network is a growing community of leaders of color across the USA at work on a vast array of critical environmental issues, from habitat conservation to environmental justice to upstream public health.

Outdoor Alliance for Kids:

OAK is a national strategic partnership of organizations from diverse sectors with a common interest in connecting children, youth and families with the outdoors.

Outdoor Afro:

Outdoor Afro has become the nation’s leading, cutting edge network that celebrates and inspires African American connections and leadership in nature.

Outdoor Asian:

Outdoor Asian works to create a diverse and inclusive community of Asian and Pacific Islanders in the outdoors.

OUT for Sustainability:

Out for Sustainability mobilizes the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) community for environmental social action, in pursuit of a fabulous planet. 

OUT There Adventures:

OUT There Adventures believes every young person deserves the opportunity to explore their identity in a positive and affirming environment.

Pride Outside:

Pride Outside is dedicated to connecting the LGBTQ community around the outdoors. They host hikes, outdoor skills classes, LGBTQ history working tours, discussions and more.

Student Conservation Association:

SCA strives to build the next generation of conservation leaders and inspire lifelong stewardship of the environment and communities by engaging young people in hands-on service to the land.

US Climate Action Network:

USCAN is a network for 175+ organizations active on climate change. Their mission is to build trust and alignments among members to fight climate change in a just and equitable way.

Venture Out Project:

Venture Out Project believes in bringing the queer community together to experience the beauty and fun of the wilderness.

Women’s Environment and Development Organization:

WEDO hopes to ensure that women’s rights; social, economic and environmental justice; and sustainable development principles-as well as the linkages between them-are at the heart of global and national policies, programs and practices.

Women Owning Woodlands:

The Women Owning Woodlands web project strives to bring topical, accessible, and current forestry information to woodland owners and forest practitioners through news articles, blogs, events, resources, and personal stories.

The Women in Nature Network (WiNN) aims to connect and empower women to achieve sustainable management and conservation of our Earth’s natural resources.

Women’s Wilderness:

Women’s Wilderness aims to cultivate courage, confidence, connection, and environmental stewardship among girls, women and the LGBTQ2+ community through year-round outdoor immersions across the West.

The Women in Wildlife Conservation Network aims to empower and inspire women in the natural resources and conservation community; to provide a venue to share and learn from all genders; to help women aspire and succeed in leadership positions; and to welcome all women into the conservation field.
